Anderson Motors

Anderson Motors is a second generation, family-owned business. It all started in the 1960's when Eddie Anderson (1938 - 2015) opened his first lot, with a handful of cars, just north of Syracuse NY, in Fulton. For two decades, Eddie ran a well-respected retail business, that is still spoken highly of, to this day.
By the mid-1980's, Anderson Motors (NY) was sold, and the entire Anderson family had moved to Florida, at different times, in different areas. For the next 10 years, Eddie did what he did best: meet people & buy/sell cars (wholesale).
Somewhere around 1988, I (Rick Anderson), decided to accept my own fate, and join Anderson Motors on a part time basis. I did this while putting myself thru college, graduating UCF in 1994. With a child coming, I was at a crossroads. Take a job offered locally at Edgewater HS (my degree is in Secondary Education EH), or continue in the car business with my dad, on a full-time basis. I decided to choose DAD, and we were basically business partners from that point forward. He had moved to Ocala along the way, making new friends & business contacts, and I did the same, only in Orlando. As my dad aged, his participation was less, and mine was more. I took over as principal owner around 2005.

Many things have happened since 2005. Anderson Motors transitioned from a "Wholesale Business Model" to "retail". We gave it a good run, all the way thru 2024. The Car Business has changed dramatically since Eddie (RIP) operated in Upstate NY. In fact, it has changed a bunch since Covid as well.
With the arrival of a grandson, and the many changes to the business, I have once again regrouped, and now consider myself a Concierge Car Guy. Perhaps I could assist with your next purchase or sale of a vehicle. Maybe not. Either way, it would most certainly require a conversation, which is something I always look forward to.
